A cactus is a member of the plant family Cactaceae. It comprises about 127 genera with some 1750 known species. The word cactus derives, through Latin, from the Ancient Greek word κάκτος, a name originally used by Theophrastus for a spiny plant. Cacti occur in a wide range of shapes and sizes.
We designed it and carved it out of soft cut polymer sheets. When our plates were ready, we used printing paint and created these beautiful linocuts.
