November at House of Culture

"Today is a Good News Wednesday and the beginning of a new month. It's hard to believe November is already here. But before I share all the amazing artworks that my young friends have created, I have a few exciting pieces of information to share with you. So, drumrolls, please!

The House of Culture has managed to secure a couple of grants. One of them is a community fund grant from our Brighton and Hove Council, and the other one is from the Chalkcliff Trust. To say I'm very happy and grateful would be an understatement; I'm ecstatic and over the moon. It's about more than just money - although that's important. It's about help and trust. It's about the fact that someone believes in me and my passion and is willing to support me. This feeling and the support of my lovely community and family mean the world to me and give me a big burst of energy. Another success I've been working on since May is Ofsted registration. It's official; the House of Culture Brighton C.I.C. is Ofsted registered, and im happy to share the certificate, with you.

As an art and wellbeing opportunities provider, I wasn't required by law to be registered with Ofsted, but I had many inquiries about it from parents. With the cost of the living crisis in mind, I thought that registering with Ofsted would be helpful to so many parents and kids who are entitled to use childcare/child activities vouchers. Hopefully, I will be able to honour the vouchers soon. I am super proud of achieving all of this on my own, but I wouldn't have been able to do it without the huge support of my family, friends, simply my tribe. So thank you for all of this. Now, without further ado, please have a look at what we've recently been creating at the House of Culture Brighton C.I.C."
